TripGuru ("TripGuru", "we", "us", or "our") operates the travel planning service available at tripguru.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
TripGuru is a small product. We do not sell your personal information. We collect the information needed to run the app, generate and save itineraries, support sharing, improve the product, and keep the service reliable.
When you create an account or sign in, our authentication provider, Clerk, may provide us with information such as your name, email address, user ID, profile image, and authentication metadata.
We collect the content you create or submit in TripGuru, including trip prompts, itineraries, destinations, dates, budgets, activities, notes, chat messages, edits, sharing settings, and collaborators you invite.
If you mark an itinerary as public, anyone with the link may be able to view it. If you invite collaborators, those people may be able to view or edit the itinerary depending on the permissions you choose.
We use analytics tools, including PostHog and Google Analytics, to understand how people use TripGuru. This may include pages viewed, buttons clicked, session activity, browser type, device information, approximate location inferred from IP address, referrer, and other usage events.
We use Sentry and server logs to understand crashes and errors. Error reports may include technical details such as browser type, device type, operating system, URL, timestamps, diagnostic logs, and the actions that led to an error.
TripGuru and our service providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, analytics, preferences, and product improvement.

TripGuru uses AI service providers, including OpenAI through the Vercel AI SDK, to generate itineraries and respond to trip-planning requests. When you ask TripGuru to create or revise a trip, relevant prompts, chat messages, and itinerary details may be sent to these providers for processing.
You should not include sensitive personal information in prompts or trip notes unless it is necessary for your planning and you are comfortable with it being processed by our service providers.

We keep account and trip information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. You can delete individual trips in the app. To request account-level deletion, contact us at the email below.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the use of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
